Designed with floor to ceiling glass to maximise natural light and water views of Darling Harbour, the new 3,700 sqm event space will feature two pillar-free ballrooms with natural light and views over Sydney’s Darling Harbour. The Maritime Ballroom will have capacity for 1000 and the Grand Ballroom will fit 1100 theatre-style, due to open in June 2016. Located in Sydney's meeting precinct, Four Points by Sheraton Sydney will remain a first choice for those seeking a unique, world-class venue, which offers ease of access to Sydney's CBD and nearby attractions as well as harbour views, great event options with upscale faciliities and on-hand, expert meetings advice.
When relaunched, the contemporary lobby area will provide a fresh face for the iconic hotel, offering a grand yet warm arrival experience, exciting new restaurant and bar concepts and design elements with sandstone accents; paying homage to to the property's iconic heritage.
Additionally, the new accommodation tower of 222 rooms will grow the total number of hotel rooms to 892 including 30 suites and will open in August 2016; once again becoming Australia's largest hotel.
