On entering the Plaza Ballroom marvel at the intricate architecture, stunning original chandeliers, emblazoned high ceiling, decorative stage and versatile open floor plan.
Its location at the Regent Theatre on Collins Street is in the heart of the Melbourne CBD and makes it a very convenient choice and with a flexible floor plan, we can cater for sit down lunch or gala dinner events ranging in size from 200-550 guests, cocktail receptions from 400-1200 guests and presentation style events from 400-800 guests.

Our Executive Chef, David Ricardo comes to the Plaza Ballroom after an impressive stint with the Lucas Group, where he was a key player in the openings of Chin Chin, Go Go Bar, Baby and Kong BBQ. He was also Head Chef at Pearl Restaurant & Bar when it was awarded two chef’s hats by The Age Good Food Guide.
He and his team provide a sensory experience for our guests with a particular emphasis on flavours and presentation. Our stunning new menus are based around Australian cuisine and can be readily adapted to our clients’ needs.
