Geelong Performing Arts Centre
The Geelong Performing Arts Centre (GPAC) opened its doors in 1981 as a venue for the performing arts to call home. Since then it has also doubled as a highly successful function venue for both private and corporate events. With over nine spaces to choose from, it boasts two theatres, four conference rooms, additional event spaces and a contemporary cafe. GPAC can cater for meetings, product launches, conferences and seminars, pre or post show cocktail parties and corporate family fun days. The flexible space can cater for numbers as little as 10 up to as many as 1500.
Notes Relating to Event Suitability:
Theatre style venues are excellent for Plenary set ups and breakout rooms. Main theatres flow directly into foyer area with bar. Flat floor historical church attached is excellent for functions, dances and small events. Large range of techncial equipment available on request.

Notes Relating to Venue Capacities:
The Playhouse seats 750 in an arch theatre and is regularly used for live theatre, major concerts, plenary meetings, films and launches.
The Drama Theatre is an ideal space for intimate live theatre, acoustic concerts, comedy, public lectures, seminars etc.
The Costa Hall is a perfect venue for entertainment producers and large conference organisers. Often used for end of year celebrations and graduations due to its size. Direct access to Geelong's foreshore. Seating up to 1500 in the concert auditorium. Pre-show cocktail space available.
The recently refurbished GPAC Foyer connects the Playhouse and the Drama Theatre. The flexible open plan space can accommodate up to 800 people and is most suited to exhibitions, dinners, launches, parties and public lectures and is equipped with full cafe and bar facilities.
The Gallery is a private meeting room with large windows over looking all the action and atmosphere of the GPAC Foyer. The space can hold up to 60 people for meetings, private dinners and receptions. Audio visual equipment is available on request.
The Alcoa Studio is an original church building primarily used as a dance rehearsal space that is also suitable for weddings, parties, launches , etc. The studio is 20.5m x 10m with a wooden floor, mirrors, 100 chairs, an upright piano and 3-phase power. 2 further studios available for smaller breakout rooms and sessions.
The Lounge is GPAC's funky intimate space, an excellent addition to a plenary for VIP guests, a breakout space, small group session, debrief, book launches, and casual meetings. Already equipped with a coffee machine, it backs directly onto the courtyard for outside enjoyment.
