The Architectural Award Winning National Wine Centre was established in 2001 and has consistently produced successful function and events. The winner of the 2009 and 2010 Caterer and Function Centre of the year, the National Wine Centre has a unique atmosphere and is set in the ideal location. Situated at the edge of the Adelaide’s stunning Botanic Gardens, it is a combination of eye catching architecture and smooth functionality.

Notes Relating to Venue Capacities:
Hickinbotham Hall is located on the ground floor with views and access to the outdoor paved terrace and vineyard. For social events, this room holds up to 350 guests for dining or 300 guests with a dancefloor. Cocktail capacities are 500 guests with a further 500 guests using Hickinbotham Terrace. Conference options include up to 250 guests in a Cabaret configuration and 500 guests theatre style. Hickinbotham Hall boasts 100 year-old jarrah floorboards, a rammed earth wall constructed from sand and clay from local regions, and a tensioned diagrid ceiling of stainless steel and timber, which slopes dramatically from 23m down to 4m. This room has an abundance of natural light with floor to ceiling windows spanning the full length of the venue and block out blinds.
Exhibition Hall and Pod 3 Located on the First Floor of the National Wine Centre, this room provides a Winery setting in the centre of the City. Guests enter via Pod 3 which features a permanent bar and provides an ideal Catering and Pre-Function area. The Exhibition Hall has a wooden floor and a vibrant display of wine memorabilia to enjoy around the perimeter of the room including a Wine Barrel feature wall. The Exhibition Hall seats up to 150 guests for dinner or 120 guests with a dance floor, 100 guests in a Workshop configuration and a maximum of 180 guests theatre style. In addition, Exhibition Hall and Pod 3 may form one room to cater for a maximum of 250 guests cocktail style.
The Gallery is located on the first floor of the Centre with views of the Botanic Gardens, outdoor terrace and gardens with access to a Juliette balcony. The Gallery holds a minimum of 50 guests to a maximum of 150 guests for a cocktail reception. 120 guests can be seated at round tables for dining and 100 guests at round tables with a small dance area. Conference options include up to 80 guests in a Cabaret or Theatre Style configuration or alternatively 45 guests Boardroom style.
The Vines is located on the ground floor of the Centre with polished wooden floorboards and floor to ceiling windows plus access to the outdoor paved terrace and views of the gardens. The Vines holds up to 90 guests at round tables for dining with a dancefloor and 50 to 130 guests for a cocktail reception. Conference options include up to 80 guests in a Cabaret or Theatre Style configuration or alternatively 35 guests Boardroom style.
Ferguson & Broughton Rooms Located on the ground floor just off the main entry concourse of the Centre, these rooms are perfect for small meetings and seminars. They are used for regular Wine Centre Education Classes and as small meeting rooms. Individually the rooms hold 50 guests theatre style, 24 guests U-Shape and 20 guests boardroom style. Ferguson and Broughton can form one room holding 100 guests theatre style.
